Continuing with some ideas touched on in the post, Can One Will Health?, with reflections on Maurice Nicoll’s advice on willing one’s life, here I look at an aspect of the functioning of some of the “psychic energies,”1 or “Hydrogens” H48, H24 and H12, in the transformation of food. Even at the beginning of the first octave of ordinary food and drink, when sitting down at the table for a meal, it is good to keep in mind the end towards which eating and digestion must tend if one is serious about “the coating and the perfecting of [one’s] own higher parts.”2 This is what can begin to transform an ordinary meal together into a sacrament.
